Login to your account at www.webtext.com and go to the "COMPOSE" tabSTEP 1
Where it says "STEP 1 Who To:" type the name or the group you want to text. As you type the system will attempt to predict the name or group. Scroll down to the correct name/group and press the ENTER button. If sending to a new group not already a contact then please add them to contacts before proceeding. If sending to and individual then just enter the number.
STEP 2
Next select the message type "2 WAY" for messages that allow replies or "1 WAY" for messages that do not allow replies but allow branding of the sender id, if it is a "1 WAY" message you can enter up to 11 characters as a sender id, the system will always display the last sender id used.
STEP 3
Next type the message you want to send, the maximum message size is 160 characters for most of the world. Some networks in China and the USA & Canada only allow between 70 and 140 characters. You can create templates by editing the template section. This is handy for standard text messages.
STEP 4
If you want the message delivered immediately press the "SEND NOW" button. If you want the message delivered at a latter time and date select the "Send Later" box. You can now program the time and date for the delivery of this message. When finished click the "SEND LATER" button. The message will now be stored until the delivery time; the time shown is GMT so please adjust for the time zone of the recipients if necessary.

How do I send sms messages using my email?
To send an sms using email you must have credit in your account and have authorised your email address via the webtext.com website. Once this is done you can send sms text messages using your email account.To send a message compose an email as normal using either the subject field or body email, keep in mind that the maximum message let is 160 characters for most destination but for some networks in China and the USA & Canada only allow between 70 and 140 characters.
To send to an individual, enter the mobile number of the individual you want to send to using the format number@webtext.com, where number is the international format of the mobile number you want to send to. Next just send the email as normal.
To send to a group follow the same procedure but use the alias number for the group as the number in the format alias@webtext.com. The alias number is shown directly below the name of the group in the CONTACTS tab of your account on www.webtext.com

The connection is made over the Internet using either HTTP or secure HTTPS, this connection is used to send message and receive delivery receipts. Go to the section marked "ACCOUNT HISTORY" and an invoice for each transaction can be found by clicking on the letters PDF at the end of each transaction record. Go to the section marked " WEB FORM TO SMS" select the contact group you want to store these contacts in, if a suitable group does not exist then create one first using the "CONTACTS". Once the contact group is selected then click the button marked "FORM ENABLE". An entry for the web form is show, please click "View sample HTML". This contains the basic HTML needed for your website, all contacts will be forwarded to the contact group "ENABLED". If you want to be notified of names and numbers as they are entered on your website then you can add your mobile number using your country code, select NOTIFY to YES and click the UPDATE button. All names and numbers added to your website will be forwarded to your mobile immediately on entry.
