FAQ


I have sent a message, how do I know if it has arrived?

Login to your account at www.webtext.com and go to the "SENT" tab, the status of message shown as unknown, pending (awaiting delivery - hand set unavailable), failed (wrong number or handset unavailable after 48 hours) or delivered. For groups message click on the INFO link so see a detailed account of message status of every number in the group.

How long does it take for a message to arrive?

It typically takes less then 10 seconds to arrive unless you are sending a large group message, then messages may be delayed some minutes as they are queued to be sent.

What countries can I sent message to?

We deliver message to most countries and mobile networks around the world, please check out network coverage for full and up to date network coverage.

What is the 2-way number shown on the compose page?

It is a FREE number provided to each account so replies can be sent to message you send. We currently provide either UK or Irish FREE reply numbers. We will be adding numbers from other countries in the coming months

What is a dedicated number and can I get one?

A dedicated number is a normal mobile number that is used only by your account. Yes we currently provided dedicated numbers for several countries. Please contact us if you require a dedicated number.

Why would I require a dedicated number?

Most companies do not require one unless they want to be able to receive messages from people they have never sent message to or intend to advertise a number for sms contact e.g. radio stations. Please contact us if you require a dedicated number.

I only want to send message to a single country, can I get a special discount?

YES if the volume is above 5000 and the wholesale message cost in that country allows, please contact WEBTEXT sales.

How much does each message cost?

8.5 euro cents or 5.6 UK pence or 11 US cents
Note:- WEBTEXT charges in EURO so the UK and US figures shown here are for guidance only and will fluctuate with exchange rates. All charges exclude VAT.

What does it cost to set-up a WEBTEXT account and do I have to sign a contract?

There is not set-up charges, No monthly charge, No contract, No obligations, you just pay for message you use everything else is FREE.

Do I have to pay VAT (Value Added TAX)?

Businesses or personal users outside the EU do not have to pay VAT, Businesses who supply valid EU VAT number in all EU states with the exception of EIRE do not have to pay VAT, all other persons or businesses must pay at 21% VAT.
