SMS Reply - enable responses
Our SMS reply service allows you to get replies to messages you send out. You decide where these replies are forwarded to your online inbox, email, server or phone.
How It Works
Messages that are sent as 2-way messages are tagged with a reply number. Every account has a local reply number. These numbers are shared across our customers and are not unique to your account.
People can reply to these numbers with the replies delivered to your online sms inbox or they can be forwarded to an email address, server or phone.
When you send a message to a number we send all replies from this number back to your account. If someone has not been sent a message they cannot reply to a local reply number.
Replies are returned to the most recent webtext account to have sent the replying party a message.
If you want replies sent direct to your phone, we can embedded your mobile number in your account instead of a local reply number.

| Question: | What countries do you have local number for? |
| Answer: | UK, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Australia and the USA. If you need to use a local number for another country let us know. |
| Question: | Can I get replies to my phone? |
| Answer: | Yes - we can embed your number in your account so messages appear to come from your number or we can forward replies to your phone. |
| Question: | How do I set my own number as the reply number? |
| Answer: | Contact us and we will set this up for you. |
| Question: | Can I receive a message on a local number, if I have never sent a message to that contact? |
| Answer: | No – replies can only be received from phones you have sent a message to at least once |
| Question: | What happen if two webtext accounts text the same number, where does the reply go? |
| Answer: | This is very rare, but it can happen, the reply is sent to the most recent webtext account to send them message. If this happens contact us and we will either put you on another local number or embed your mobile number. |
| Question: | Do you charge for replies? |
| Answer: | NO but your contact will be charged the price of a local text message, if you are using a local number to contact them. |
