Answer: Messages can be purchased online using a credit or debit card. If you want to use a cheque or bank transfer please contact us and we will supply you with an Invoice and payment details.

Answer: Contact us and we  will set this up for you.
Question: How do I download my invoices?
Answer: Login and use the quick links menu and go to invoice, then click on the invoice “PDF” you need.
Question: How long can a message be?
Answer: A standard message is 160 characters. Which you can extend up to 765 characters in length.

Email 2 SMS FAQ

Question:

What does email2SMS do?

Answer: It converts email messages into SMS text messages.
Question:

Can I use any email account or address?

Answer: Yes – you can use any email address or account to send message including work addresses, gmail, yahoo etc. All you need to do is authorise the email address you will be sending from in your online SMS account under the Email2SMS options.

Can I get replies to emails I send via SMS?

Answer: Yes – you just need to set-up which email address to send replies to using the inbox options in your online SMS account.

Can I set a sender ID?

Answer: Yes – 11 characters are available to set a sender ID

Manage Contacts FAQ

Question:

Can my contacts opt-out automatically if they do not want to get any more messages?

Answer: Yes- by reply STOP to any 2-way message you sent them or using a website contact form you put on your company or organizational website

Can I upload groups of contacts?

Answer:

Yes you can upload groups of contacts using an excel spreadsheet or csv file. These can be uploaded directly from your desktop computer.

Question:

Do you allow or prevent duplicate contacts from being entered or uploaded?

Answer:

Yes – we can allow duplicates or prevent them from being uploaded. You can decide this using the advanced setting in your webtext online SMS options tab. By default we prevent them.

Can I export my contacts?

Answer:

Yes – you can export them to a csv file using a section in the contacts tab.

SMS Reply FAQ

Question: SMS Reply - What countries do you have local number for?
Answer: UK, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Australia and the USA. If you need to use a local number for another country let us know.

Can I get replies to my phone?

Answer: Yes – we can embed your number in your account so messages appear to come from your number or we can forward replies to your phone.

How do I set my own number as the reply number?

Answer: Contact us and we will set this up for you.

Can I receive a message on a local number, if I have never sent a message to that contact?

Answer: No – replies can only be received from phones you have sent a message to at least once
Question: What happen if two webtext accounts text the same number, where does the reply go?
Answer: This is very rare, but it can happen, the reply is sent to the most recent webtext account to send them message. If this happens contact us and we will either put you on another local number or embed your mobile number.
Question:

Do you charge for replies?

Answer: NO but your contact will be charged the price of a local text message, if you are using a local number to contact them.

Answer: Login to your webtext account and go to the server api section to obtain your id & password.

How do I configure SMS replies to go to my server?

Answer:

Login to your webtext account and via the options tab select inbox options. If you are using the http(s) then enter the url you want the messages sent to. If you are using email to send and receive messages to your server then select and enter the email address of your server. Any reply messages will then be forwarded as they arrive.
