Phone 2 SMS
With our PHONE 2 SMS service you can send SMS messages to groups from any mobile phone in the world. Phone 2 SMS allows you to send messages from any mobile phonen without the need of a computer or PC.
How It Works
First you need to authorise the mobile phone number you will be sending from (this only needs to be done once). This is done by adding the mobile phone number to the authorise list in phone to SMS options. Use the OPTIONS tab or the “quick links” drop down menu to access these this list.
Phone 2 SMS allows you to send, from your handset, to all members of a Contact Group, without needing to access the Internet. If the Contact Group has a single word name (eg: 'sales' or 'drivers' etc), you simply send a text message from your phone, beginning with GT, followed by the group name.
For example, on your phone you type the following message:
"GT sales Meeting tomorrow at 8am in head office."
In this example every member of your Contact Group 'sales', will receive the message:
"Meeting tomorrow at 8am in head office."
You then send the message to one of our local access numbers, depending on your location:

| Answer: | Yes – you just need to select in Phone 2 SMS section that "Message originates from sender's number". |
| Question: | Can I set a sender ID? |
| Answer: | Yes – 11 characters are available to set a sender ID, this is set in the Phone 2 SMS section by selecting "Use Tag" and then inserting the the tag you want to use. |
| Question: | How long can a message be? |
| Answer: | For some countries (Ireland & USA) a message is limited to 160 characters for other countries messages longer than 160 characters are allowed. |
