Contacts Management

Contacts can be added one at a time, in large groups via spreadsheet upload or using our unique website forms. We protect you by automatically preventing contacts that opt-out being re-uploaded again.

How It Works

Anyone who replies with the word STOP will be removed from your online account until they opt-in again by way of a website form or you adding one at a time online. If you upload them in error by spreadsheet or csv file we will not add them to your account thereby preventing them from being uploaded in error.

ONLINE SMS
You can add contacts one at a time via the contacts tab or upload groups of them using an excel spreadsheet or any cvs file.

WEBSITE FORMS
You can create and place a website form on your website so visitors to your site can add or remove themselves from your contact groups in your online SMS account.

SERVER CONTACTS
You can use your own database as the source of your contacts and then use us as a gateway.  You are responsible for honouring opt-out requests. However we will forward STOP messages to so you can remove them from you sending database.

PHONE
Any phone can opt-out using the STOP keyword, we can also supply keywords to allow people to opt-in to your contact groups.

• STOP messages – any phone sending a message-received beginning with the word STOP will be automatically removed from your account.
• OPT-OUTs upload prevention – our service prevents you from uploading in error via excel spreadsheet or csv file mobile phone numbers that have opted out.
• Duplicate contacts (optional) – you can turn on or off duplicate contacts, this allows you to have different names with the same phone number. This can be useful for example in schools using SMS text messaging.
• Import contacts – contacts can be added one at a time or you can upload them from excel spreadsheet or csv file directly into your online SMS account from your desktop computer.
• Export contacts – you can export your contact from your webtext account to your desktop.
• Extra contact variables – you can add extra contact information. We have enabled 3 fields for each contact but we can enable up to 21 fields in any account.
• Website contact form wizard – use our website form wizard to create a website contact form you can put on your company or organizations website. This will allow people to join or leave any of your webtext online SMS contact groups.
